New case study: Girl in the Wild

Posted November 20, 2024

The Girl in the Wild home page on a phone. The phone sits on a table. There's an iPad beside the phone, and its web browser is open and pointing to Girl in the Wild's about page.

Kim McMullen is the founder of Girl in the Wild, a nonprofit that provides free confidence-building camps for teen girls in wild spaces (think the Rocky Mountains in British Columbia). Our vision is to eradicate self-loathing for good,” said Kim. We’re making a dent in this by providing free confidence building camps for struggling teens.”

I was honoured to make their new website. The website is built off a crazy flexible and ridiculously rad design by Flipside Creative, and uses Craft CMS for its back-end and Snipcart for its e‑commerce store. I don’t know of a more flexible setup than this; Craft and Snipcart together allow for the Girl in the Wild website to be entirely flexible and custom from the ground up.

I’ve put up a complete case study for the website. It was honour to work with Flipside again on something truly meaningful. If you know any young girls who could use a boost in self-confidence, regardless of whether or not they’ve camped out in the wild before, check out Girl in the Wild.
